Here’s where your local library comes in.
Libraries don’t loan books and periodicals only. Lots of them lend out videos and dvds, even console games. Save yourself some money. Stop building up your own collection. Stop subscribing to magazines that you don’t have time to read. Don’t buy.
If you receive them as gifts, well and good. But if anyone asks what gift you want, why not ask for cinema or concert tickets? Better than disposable goods, I daresay.
