It’s never too early in the year for you to start thinking about how you can make your upcoming vacations green. Apart from making a conscious effort to choose eco-friendly lodging, way before all the holiday weekends start, you should also consider offsetting all the traveling you’ll be doing.
San Francisco-based company Terrapass is the brainchild of Dr. Karl Ulrich and 41 of his students. You can choose which offsets are appropriate for you by calculating your approximate carbon footprint. Your offsets will go to three different project types the company supports, such as wind farms, power supplied by animal waste, and landfill gas capture.
