Cold hands, warm hearts

How about using cold water for handwashing? I always felt that soap rinses off faster with cold water. Co-workers who wash their hands immediately after me always get a shock because I don’t turn on the hot water. Come to find out, you get the added benefit of saving 3-5% on water heating costs for every 10-degree drop in H2O temperature. You save water also because most faucets spit out 2 gal per min while you’re waiting for the hot H2O.
