After reading “The Eco-Foods Guide: What’s Good for the Earth is Good for You” by Cynthia Barstow (borrowed from the library, of course), I am now looking into the Community Supported (or Shared) Agriculture. A Google search for CSA farms led me to the Local Harvest website. I didn’t find a CSA farm in our place, but there are some in neighboring towns. Unfortunately for me, there are waiting lists to become a member. Another website that promotes buying locally that I came across tonight was the Eat Well Guide and the Sustainable Table, which even has a handout about buying locally that you can check out here.
