Bathe less, shower more

Who doesn’t love a good long bath? It’s one of life’s simple pleasures.

Unfortunately, long baths take its toll on the environment too. A bath uses 30 to 50 gallons of water, while a short shower only uses 10 gallons. Factor in the energy used to heat the water. Eeek.

Or if that proves difficult, take a bath as quickly as you can. Turn off the water while you soap and shampoo. Don’t use too much hot water. You can be clean AND green, after all.
